The cylinder is filled with 2 lbs. of sodium bicarbonate fire-fighting agent, ensuring a quick and powerful response to fire emergencies. The painted steel handle, aluminum cylinder, metal valve, and impact-resistant handle make the Kidde home fire extinguisher tough, reliable, and dependable in the event of a fire.
The easy-to-pull safety pin, easy-to-read pressure indicator, and instruction label provide clear steps to operate the fire extinguisher, including a bilingual nameplate. Users can simply follow the PASS guide: pull the pin, aim at the base of the fire, squeeze the lever and handle, and sweep from side to side.
Included with the Kidde home fire extinguisher is a UL-approved strap bracket, making it USCG approved. It is a single-use device, and users are advised to dispose of and replace it if it has been used, discharged, or if the fire extinguisher is over 12 years old. The extinguisher is for residential use only and comes with a 6-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
