The Kidde Quick Connect Smoke Detector Adapter Plug, Smoke Alarm Wiring Harness, is compatible with FireX Hardwired Smoke, Carbon Monoxide, & Combination Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors, model 20-9003. These adapters quickly connect Kidde & FireX hardwired smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarms, eliminating the need for rewiring and wire stripping.
The adapter plug works with your 120V AC power outlet installed in your ceiling for smoke detectors. The Quick Connect installation can be completed in four simple steps: insert the 2-pin male connector from the adapter into the hardwire from your ceiling, use the female side of the adapter to plug into the back of your smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarm, test your alarm to ensure connection, and connect the alarm to the bracket on your ceiling.
This adapter is ideal for retrofitting new smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarms in older homes or connecting alarms with interconnect capabilities (alarms must have hardwired AC interconnect capability). The interconnection capability allows you to connect up to 24 Kidde smoke, heat, or CO alarms, with the possibility to interconnect 6 strobe lights or relay modules.
